As an authorised Racingline Performance retailer, we’re pleased to offer the Racingline Cold-Air Intake System, purpose-built for the Audi S3 8P Quattro. This kit replaces the restrictive factory airbox with a larger-diameter intake pipe and a high-flow filter, feeding cool, dense air straight to the turbocharger for stronger performance and a more engaging driving experience.

Developed Through Motorsport

This intake was developed and proven on Racingline’s own Volkswagen Racing cars before being refined for road use. Independent flow testing shows up to 9% greater airflow at peak power compared to the standard intake. In real-world driving, this translates to improved throttle response, increased power and torque, and in some cases a reduction in turbo spool time of up to 500rpm. The result is sharper response when you press the accelerator, particularly noticeable in the mid-range.

The Trifoam Filter

At the heart of the system is Racingline’s Trifoam filter, a triple-layer open-cell polyurethane foam laminate. The same foam filtration technology has been used in Formula One engines, balancing excellent dust protection with very low air restriction. Each filter is hand-made in the UK.

It’s designed as a lifetime filter, washable and re-usable, and only needs cleaning and re-oiling roughly every 20,000 miles (30,000 km) under normal road use.

Honest Expectations

On a stock Audi S3 8P, you’ll notice the most benefit through improved throttle response, a more eager mid-range and a satisfying induction sound. Peak power gains on a standard car are modest, as is typical with any intake on its own. The system really comes into its own when paired with a Stage 1 or Stage 2 tune, where the increased airflow can be fully exploited.
