Racingline High-Flow Panel Air Filter – Golf 5, 6, Scirocco 2.0 TSI, TDI & 1.4 TSI (170PS)

Racingline High-Flow Panel Air Filter – VWR11G501

The Racingline High-Flow Panel Air Filter is one of the simplest and most cost-effective upgrades you can fit to your VW, Audi, SEAT or Skoda. It drops straight into your standard airbox in place of the original paper filter, allowing your engine to draw in more clean, cool air with less restriction.

The factory paper filter is a known weak point when it comes to airflow. By swapping it for the Racingline panel filter, you give your engine an easier path to breathe, which translates into a small but genuine improvement in throttle response, power delivery and fuel economy. There’s no cutting, no remapping and no extra parts needed – it’s a true bolt-in upgrade.

What it does for your car

This is a panel filter, meaning it sits inside the original airbox just like the OEM item. Because the airbox is retained, you keep all the benefits of the factory cold air feed and sound deadening, while gaining better filtration and higher flow. It’s a sensible first step for anyone starting down the performance route, and it pairs well with later upgrades such as a remap or full intake system.

• Direct replacement for the standard paper filter – fits the original airbox
• Increased airflow for a modest gain in power, torque and response
• Cleanable and reusable, so no need to keep buying replacement filters
• Excellent value for money as an entry-level performance upgrade

Fitment

This filter is designed for a wide range of MQB-era and PQ35-platform VW Group vehicles, including popular 1.4 TSI (140, 160 and 170PS), 2.0 TSI and 2.0 TDI engines. Applications include the VW Golf Mk5 and Mk6, Scirocco, Jetta, Passat, EOS, Tiguan, Touran and Caddy, along with the Audi A3 (8P), SEAT Leon, Altea and Toledo, and the Skoda Octavia.

Please use the vehicle lookup tool on the Racingline Shop or check the Vehicle Fitment tab to confirm this filter is correct for your exact car before purchase.

Maintenance

Unlike a disposable paper filter, the Racingline panel filter can be cleaned and re-oiled, giving it a long service life. Periodic cleaning keeps airflow at its best and helps protect your engine over the long term.
