Racingline MQB Top Mounts Camber & Castor

Racingline MQB Top Mounts – Camber & Castor Adjustment

The Racingline MQB Top Mounts are a precision-engineered front suspension upgrade designed to sharpen the handling of MQB and MQB Evo platform vehicles. By replacing the soft rubber factory mounts with these solid, machined units, you gain meaningful gains in camber and castor geometry, without giving up the comfort needed for daily driving. Best of all, they work with standard OEM-style suspension, so you do not need coilovers to feel the benefit.

What These Top Mounts Do

The top mounts sit at the very top of your front suspension struts, where the strut meets the body of the car. Swapping the original rubber-bushed mounts for these solid Racingline units alters the geometry of the front wheels in two important ways:

• Adds approximately 1.5° of extra negative camber (the top of the wheel leans slightly inwards)
• Adds approximately 1.0° of extra castor (the wheel sits slightly further back in the arch)

Negative camber helps the tyre stay flatter against the road surface when you corner, increasing grip. Castor improves steering stability and self-centring, so the car feels more planted at speed and the wheel returns to centre more naturally. Combined, they transform how the front end responds, particularly on fast road drives and track days.

Key Benefits Over the OEM Top Mounts

• Sharper turn-in – the car reacts more quickly the moment you turn the wheel
• Stronger cornering grip – better use of the available tyre contact patch under load
• Improved steering feel – more feedback through the wheel, without becoming harsh
• Daily-friendly refinement – geometry changes without a major comfort penalty
• Direct fit with OEM-type dampers and springs on non-coilover setups

These mounts are aimed at drivers who want a genuine handling upgrade while still using their car every day. They are not an extreme race-only component, but they will reveal the limits of cheap or worn tyres more quickly, so fitting good quality rubber is recommended to get the full benefit.

Fitment and Compatibility

The Racingline MQB Top Mounts are designed for MQB and MQB Evo platform vehicles running factory or factory-style suspension that uses an OEM top mount. That covers a wide range of popular Volkswagen, Audi, SEAT and Skoda models built on the MQB chassis, including hot hatch favourites such as Golf GTI, Golf R, S3, Cupra and Octavia vRS variants.

Always confirm fitment for your specific vehicle using the site’s vehicle lookup tool, or check the “Vehicle Fitment” tab on this product page for full compatibility details.

Installation and Setup

Because these mounts change the front wheel geometry, a four-wheel alignment is essential after fitting. Without a proper alignment, you will not get the intended handling benefit and tyre wear may be uneven. We strongly recommend installation by a workshop familiar with MQB suspension work.

Once correctly installed and aligned, the Racingline Top Mounts give a clean, OEM-like appearance in the engine bay, with a geometry setup ready for serious fast road and track use while remaining genuinely practical for everyday driving.

Applications

Please note, customers are wholly responsible for checking fitment for their vehicle.
